Esafety at Grangetown Primary School

Our priority is to keep our children safe that is why it is very important for our children to be safe online.

Our IT scheme of work teaches children how to be safe online and we deliver citizenship skills across the curriculum throughout the year.

Our Digital Leaders have created guides  for various eSafety topics. These can be found in our sections.

Here is a some safety top tips from our Digital Leaders at GPS 

  • You must be over 13 to go on social media such as instagram, snapchat and facebook.
  • You must be over 16 to have a youtube channel.
  • Children in primary school should watch films that are U and PG and play games that are suitable for their age.
  • It is important to keep your password to yourself and not tell anyone.
  • Don't give away any private information online-use a nickname if you play online games
  • Don't talk to people you don't know.
  • Tell an adult if you see something you are worried about online.
  • Be kind, respectful and sensible when you are online.
